Addiction
Addiction and substance use can affect every part of a person’s life, including relationships, work, school, physical health, emotional well-being, and self-esteem. What may begin as a way to cope with stress, trauma, anxiety, depression, loneliness, or pain can gradually become a pattern that feels difficult to control.
At Inner Peace Counseling of Utah, our providers offer compassionate, confidential, and nonjudgmental support for individuals affected by alcohol, pornography, cannabis or other drug use. Therapy can help clients better understand the factors contributing to substance use, identify triggers, strengthen coping skills, and develop healthier ways to manage difficult emotions and life circumstances.
Our providers may also address related concerns such as trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, relationship conflict, shame, or relapse patterns. Treatment is individualized and designed to meet clients where they are, whether they are considering change, working toward sobriety, maintaining recovery, or adjusting after a higher level of care.
We can also support family members and loved ones who are experiencing fear, frustration, exhaustion, or uncertainty related to someone else’s substance use. Therapy can help families establish healthy boundaries, improve communication, and learn how to offer support without losing sight of their own well-being.
Inner Peace Counseling of Utah provides counseling in Draper and Saratoga Springs, with telehealth appointments available throughout Utah. When additional medical, detoxification, or intensive treatment is needed, our providers can help clients identify appropriate next steps and coordinate care when possible.
